Aikido Seattle is delighted to offer weekday Friendship classes with Jan Nevelius Shihan in addition to a three-day weekend Friendship seminar.

Jan Nevelius is 7th Dan Aikikai and has practiced aikido for 50 years. He is based at Vanadis Aikido Dojo in Stockholm, Sweden. His main teachers are Endo Shihan, Tissier Shihan, and Hermansson Shihan. He also trained with Osawa Shihan and Yamaguchi Shihan. Nevelius Sensei emphasizes connection, balance, internal work and soft ukemi, and an approach to aikido as a never-ending research.

Weekday Classes

October 14-16

These special weekday, pre-seminar friendship classes are for students who are interested in going deeper into the practice taught by Nevelius Shihan.

Schedule

For Tuesday-Thursday evening classes (6:30-8:00), priority registration will be given to 3rd kyu and above.

Please note that the weekday classes are at a different location than the weekend seminar.

Space is very limited; please register early to secure your place.

The weekend friendship seminar is open to all styles, affiliations, and ranks.

Schedule

We will host a party on Saturday night at 7:00 pm for all participants and partners with catered food from a local restaurant. We will share more information closer to the event.
