César San Miguel (he, him) is an Oakland CA native, started training as a child in 2000, and studied cultural anthropology at Columbia University. He is a massage therapist whose practice emphasizes trauma informed care and he brings this focus into his Aikido study.

Sam Taitel (they/them) is a Mixed, Black and Ashkenazi, Queer community activist, martial artist, and facilitator living on occupied Dakota, Lakota, and Nakota lands. They began practicing Aikido in 1999 at age 5, was uchideshi at NY Aikikai under Yamada Shihan, and train now at East Lake Aikido in Minneapolis. Sam intentionally explores the world with authenticity and body forward inquiry. They deeply believe that uplifting people’s capacities to be sensitive and aware can radically shift how we share this world together; we must notice to care.
